Deepalaya Mansik Swasthya Evam Viklang Punarwas Sansthan is a registered nonprofit under the Society Registration Act 1860 (XXI), recognised by the Govt of Bihar, India. The organisation maintains all essential compliances, including FCRA:031180028 Ministry of Home Affairs, 12A, and 80G of the Income Tax Act—ensuring transparency, accountability, and trust for every partner and supporter.
The journey began in 1997, when a small group of volunteers and donors came together with one simple belief: people with disabilities deserve opportunities, not obstacles. What started as a modest initiative has grown into a community that many affectionately call the Deepalaya Family.
The initiative began in 1997, when a few volunteers and donors saw how limited the options were for persons with intellectual disabilities, multiple disabilities, and mental health conditions in the region. Their response was simple: build a place where care, learning, and dignity come first. Over the years, this vision has grown into what many now call the Deepalaya Family.
Who We Serve:
Children with intellectual and developmental disabilities who need structured learning and early support
Adolescents and young adults looking for life skills, vocational pathways, or transition support
Persons with mental health conditions who require consistent guidance, care, and community connection
Dropout children, especially girls, who need a second chance at education
Families and caregivers seeking counselling, training, and a reliable support system

Introduction to Care and Health

Our organization is dedicated to community development by supporting children with high needs through customized programs. We partner with families to provide personal attention and training while building confidence and independence in every child. Our free health checkup camps cover remote areas and government schools to target early identification and referral of any disease in children and adults.

Empowerment starts within: when a child with a disability gains confidence, when a girl who dropped out feels capable again, and when a family understands rights and opportunities, something shifts internally. That shift is the real knowledge. Everything else flows from it.
